Volkswagen Nepal has launched the Virtus sedan and Taigun 1.5L GT Plus compact SUV at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025.
The Virtus sedan is available with two petrol engine options: a 1.0L TSI and a 1.5L TSI EVO. The 1.0L TSI version of the Virtus is priced between Rs 56 lakh and Rs 78 lakh, while the more powerful 1.5L variant costs between Rs 84 lakh and Rs 91 lakh. Both engine options come with manual and automatic transmissionchoices.
Built on the MQB A0 IN platform, the Virtus features a 179 mm ground clearance and is designed for both city and highway use. The 1.5L GT Plus version delivers 150 PS of power and includes Active Cylinder Deactivation for improved fuel efficiency. Safety features include up to six airbags, ESC, Hill Hold Control, and multi-collision braking. The sedan also carries a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating.
Volkswagen has also introduced the Taigun compact SUV in the Nepali market, with prices starting at Rs 53.90 lakh for the 1.0L petrol variant and going up to Rs 94 lakh for the 1.5L GT Plus version.
The 1.0L TSI version is priced between Rs 53.90 lakh and Rs 83 lakh, while the 1.5L TSI is available between Rs 88 lakh and Rs 94 lakh. Both engine types come with manual and automatic transmission options. The Taigun features 188mm ground clearance and offers a 7-speed DSG gearbox in higher variants. It also includes safety features like six airbags, ESC, Hill Hold Control, and multi-collision braking.
Like the Virtus, the Taigun is also built on the MQB A0 IN platform and is tailored for performance and safety on regional roads. The 1.5L engine delivers 150 PS of power, paired with fuel-saving technology.
